Strategic Business Planning Manager (Insurance)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid office environment with occasional travel of less than 10%

Salary: $104,000–$125,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Define strategic planning processes, priorities, capabilities, success measures, and execution plans.
• Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, dashboards, and tracking mechanisms.
• Manage inputs and outputs that drive strategic project prioritization.
• Identify organizational integrations and coordinate planning with stakeholders, including the PMO.
• Build relationships with supported groups and project teams and resolve escalations involving priorities, goals, resources, and initiatives.
• Create strategic presentations and storyboards for different audiences and develop productivity solutions using approved AI tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• At least eight years of strategic planning experience in a similar environment or in a planning or consulting role.
• Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and guide strategic planning and execution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and root cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools and lifecycles, AI tools including Copilot, and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Insurance or financial services experience.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
