Cost Analyst/Estimator (Mid-Senior) (DoD cost analysis and construction estimating): Developing and validating technical cost estimates for complex Department of Defense acquisition programs with an accent on construction, facilities, weapon systems, and cost data analysis. Focus on building statistical and parametric estimating models, analyzing program risks and uncertainties, and presenting findings to government and technical leadership.

Location: On-site at Hill AFB, Utah

What you will do

  • Develop, analyze, and validate detailed technical cost estimates for complex Department of Defense acquisition programs, particularly construction and facilities projects.
  • Collect, assess, normalize, and analyze cost, technical, and programmatic data from government and industry sources.
  • Develop cost-estimating methodologies, statistical and parametric models, tools, and techniques for program decision-making.
  • Analyze historical cost data and support cost and risk analyses for major acquisition programs.
  • Apply knowledge of construction trades, building systems, and design documentation to produce credible estimates.
  • Collaborate with government, industry, and internal technical teams and present findings to technical and program leadership.

Requirements

  • At least six years of technical cost estimating and analysis experience supporting the Air Force, Navy, Army, Missile Defense Agency, or a comparable Department of Defense organization.
  • Experience supporting Air Force ACAT I acquisition programs and performing program cost analysis.
  • Experience with ICBM programs or other complex Department of Defense weapon systems.
  • Knowledge of DCARC data collection and experience using CCDR, CSDR, CPR, DACIMS, or AFTOC data.
  • Experience with estimating software using RSMeans Construction Cost Data and other historical cost databases.
  • U.S. citizenship required; must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret and/or Top Secret security clearance. A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, business, science, or a related field is required.
