Mold Technician (Plastic Injection Molding)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Compensation: $21–$25 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

hirify.global operates a manufacturing site with a Tooling team supporting plastic injection mold production operations.

What you will do

• Build tool insert configurations and set up mold bases.
• Disassemble, clean, maintain, and service plastic injection molds and inserts.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and Bills of Materials for accurate assembly.
• Use SAP for tracking, documentation, and workflow management.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, microscopes, air impact wrenches, and other precision instruments.
• Perform Level 1 preventive maintenance, safely handle molds with overhead cranes, and follow build schedules and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–5 years of related tooling, mold, machining, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of tooling methods, mold components, and shop practices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand and walk throughout the shift, climb ladders, and perform repetitive fine-motor tasks in an industrial environment.
• Ability to operate lifts, forklifts, or cranes and follow safety requirements, including PPE use.
