Production Controller - Supply Chain

Location: 5050 Chavenelle Road, Dubuque, Iowa 52002, United States

Salary: $69,500–$115,000 annual, with possible performance-based incentives or bonuses.

What you will do

• Manage distribution center processing and shipment workflows using automated tools and web platforms.
• Develop shift production and staffing plans, adjusting them in real time as operational variables change.
• Communicate workflow status with distribution center operations leaders and advise operations, maintenance, and support leaders.
• Trial new tools and systems, gather operational feedback, and provide functionality recommendations.
• Collaborate with enterprise planning teams on risk mitigation during unplanned disruptions.
• Lead pre-planning, risk management, SLA performance monitoring, and postmortem reporting.

Requirements

• College degree in engineering, operations, logistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a department or operations lead in distribution, fulfillment, or a light industrial environment.
• Expertise in SQL, VBA, and creating or modifying Excel macros.
• Experience with KPI reporting, root-cause elimination, and data-driven process improvement.
• Ability to coordinate multi-department operational decisions, manage competing deadlines, and work with minimal oversight.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and serve as an advisor remotely when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Anaplan and Tableau.
• Experience as a Master Scheduler in a manufacturing or production environment.
