What you will do
- Lead the live video and multimedia content strategy across YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Manage, mentor, and develop social media editors, video producers, and livestreaming specialists.
- Build programming calendars for live digital content and related video-on-demand assets, adapting to breaking news, cultural moments, and audience interests.
- Oversee live programming including breaking news, interviews, special events, community programming, and original content.
- Develop audience growth, discoverability, retention, engagement, and monetization strategies across platforms.
- Use performance data to guide programming, optimize content, and repurpose livestreams into clips, reels, and long-form video.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in digital video, live streaming, social media, digital programming, or multimedia content production.
- Strong knowledge of YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, emerging video platforms, platform-specific best practices, SEO, algorithms, and social engagement.
- Experience managing programming calendars or content grids across multiple platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven news or media environment and support rapid-response coverage.
- Experience using audience analytics and KPIs such as watch time, concurrent viewers, engagement, audience growth, and monetization.
