Cloud DevOps Architect

Location: Hybrid, within a 90-mile radius of Carmel, Indiana, United States; travel up to 10% required

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of modern DevOps platforms, cloud tenants, and application deployments in AWS and Azure.
• Gather business requirements and design technical solutions aligned with architectural blueprints and technology strategy.
• Build complex automation platforms using Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automated deployment tooling.
• Advise clients on DevOps practices, infrastructure architecture, cloud services, and scalable application delivery.
• Lead client implementation efforts, presales and consultancy engagements, proposals, estimates, and technical direction.
• Mentor team members and research emerging cloud architectures, services, and industry trends.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience working with DevOps platforms or similar automation technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing DevOps platforms, including repositories, build and release automation, testing, deployments, containers, and infrastructure provisioning.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing AWS and/or Azure cloud solutions, including compute, storage, and networking services.
• At least 1 year of experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and strong knowledge of enterprise software development tools and methodologies.
• Experience with client design sessions, technical leadership, identity and access management, security best practices, and enterprise-scale automation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications or willingness to acquire them.
• Experience with CloudFormation, Amazon CDK, Azure Resource Manager, or Terraform.
• Experience with Python, PHP, JavaScript, Java, C#, or shell scripting.
• Exposure to Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, security tooling, automated testing, networking, microservices, and distributed application architecture.
