Sr. Accounts Receivable Representative

What you will do

• Lead Accounts Receivable representatives and support performance, development, hiring, mentoring, and team motivation.
• Process and follow up on health insurance claims, research authorizations, manage pended claims, and resolve medical claim issues.
• Support the Accounts Receivable Manager in maintaining an effective third-party revenue cycle.
• Identify non-payment trends and procedural barriers, escalating issues when needed.
• Prepare claim projects, communication logs, appeals documentation, and insurance carrier correspondence.
• Monitor carrier websites and complete assigned office and administrative duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least seven years of Accounts Receivable follow-up experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes.
• Familiarity with medical billing software, databases, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Accurate data entry, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; regular attendance is essential.

Nice to have

• Certified Coding Certification.
• Urology or ASC experience.
