What you will do
- Create and process purchase orders for materials, components, and services.
- Follow up with suppliers on confirmations, delivery dates, shipments, delays, pricing discrepancies, and documentation.
- Review invoices, compare supplier quotes, maintain pricing, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor inventory, support replenishment planning, track backorders, and coordinate incoming materials with warehouse and production teams.
- Maintain purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems and prepare reports on open orders, delivery performance, and material status.
- Follow purchasing policies, support audits, maintain records, and participate in process improvements.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years of purchasing or supply chain experience; internships and co-ops are welcome.
- Basic understanding of supply chain or procurement processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience maintaining accurate operational data.
- Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, follow-up, and multitasking skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with QAD or another ERP/MRP system such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Epicor.
