Senior Buyer, Outside Services (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio, at the Cincinnati, Ohio facility; U.S. citizenship required and the role is performed onsite.

hirify.global develops and manufactures jet propulsion systems using additive manufacturing for unmanned aerial defense and other aerospace and defense applications.

What you will do

• Manage purchase orders and supplier relationships for outside processing and special services, including non-destructive testing and heat treatment.
• Lead RFQs and RFPs, supplier selection, bid analysis, negotiations, contract execution, and long-term supply arrangements.
• Ensure procurement compliance with FAR, DFARS, government contracting regulations, AS9100, and applicable ISO standards.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Finance, Supply Planning, and Program Management teams.
• Own supplier delivery performance, monitor lead times and capacity constraints, and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Coordinate shipments to and from outside processors and maintain procurement records in ERP/MRP systems.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience preparing, managing, and auditing procurement compliance documentation.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and supplier management skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement analytics; ability to interpret statements of work and technical specifications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, additive, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, long-term supply agreements, or logistics.
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP/MRP systems.
