What you will do

• Lead purchasing activities for materials, supplies, machinery, and services while balancing cost, quality, source reliability, and urgency.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and supplier account management to resolve supply issues.
• Maintain supply continuity by managing supplier pull-ins and push-outs against MRP demand.
• Resolve material-related accounting and receiving issues and lead inventory and E&Z management efforts.
• Improve purchasing processes, support new program implementation, and train department personnel.
• Develop procurement, inventory control, planning, and production-material quality initiatives while mentoring junior buyers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of professional experience.
• Strong business expertise to interpret internal and external challenges and recommend process improvements.
• Ability to communicate complex or sensitive information clearly.
• Must work from the Austin, Texas location; relocation assistance is not available.
