Amsterdam Trader Summer Internship 2027 (Options Trading)

Location: Amsterdam, with the first three weeks in the London office. Programme dates: 21 June–20 August 2027.

What you will do

• Build practical trading skills in a simulated trading environment using real market scenarios.
• Use traders’ tools or develop your own while observing trades executed in live markets.
• Shadow traders across different desks and learn about their day-to-day decision-making.
• Complete an independent project during a dedicated Reading Week.
• Apply options theory, pricing, probability and risk concepts to trading simulations and strategy testing.
• Progress through learning milestones with feedback from the Trading and Emerging Talent teams.

Requirements

• Be a penultimate-year undergraduate or master’s student.
• Have strong numeracy skills and a good understanding of probability and statistics.
• Show genuine interest in financial markets and curiosity to learn.
• Be willing to adopt and use emerging AI technologies.
• Demonstrate critical problem-solving, effective decision-making and the ability to work with incomplete information.
• Be collaborative, accountable, adaptable and able to turn complex information into actionable decisions.
