Quality Inspector II (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform first-part, in-process, final, receiving, and visual inspections of parts and assemblies.
• Verify dimensions, appearance, traceability, and conformance with drawings, router specifications, and quality plans.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, manual CMM equipment, and other precision measuring tools.
• Maintain quality records and employee and company tool calibration schedules.
• Initiate and support nonconformance, material review, corrective action, audit, and problem-solving activities.
• Work across multiple quality department areas with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of previous inspection experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience inspecting parts with basic hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, OGP, or manual CMM equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply basic shop mathematics.
• Close visual attention, reasoning, and sound judgment.
• Basic mechanical and computer skills; machine shop or manufacturing inspection experience is preferred.
