TL;DR
Quality Engineer - NGT (Quality Assurance): Supporting quality management systems, audits, inspections, and technical documentation across regulated engineering projects with an accent on compliance, non-conformance prevention, and supplier quality. Focus on developing Quality Plans and ITPs, performing root-cause analysis, monitoring corrective actions, and coordinating quality activities across project sites.
Location: Warrington, United Kingdom; partial remote (hybrid)

What you will do
- Support the Quality Advisor in implementing and maintaining project Quality Management Systems.
- Prepare, review, and maintain Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and related QA documentation.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, audit reporting, and closure of corrective actions and non-conformances.
- Apply quality tools for problem resolution, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and KPI monitoring.
- Review supplier and subcontractor QA documentation and support quality activities during procurement and tendering.
- Provide quality engineering support across multiple project sites, attend site meetings, and collaborate with SHE teams and client QA representatives.
Requirements
- Good engineering and QA/QC background with more than five years of experience in a highly regulated industry such as petrochemical, oil and gas, aviation, nuclear, or construction.
- CQI membership or progress toward accreditation and a current recognised Internal Auditor qualification are essential.
- Experience delivering internal management-system audits and communicating audit outcomes.
- Experience developing project QA documentation, including Quality Plans and ITPs, and reviewing supplier QA documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, report-writing, communication, accuracy, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, a full clean driving licence, and understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Nice to have
- Recognised current External Auditor qualification.
- Ability to interpret ISO management-system standards, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Pipework, steelwork, and insulation knowledge.
- Knowledge of API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, and PED specifications.
