Salary: $165,000–$199,500 per year, depending on skills, competency, and market demand.

What you will do

• Lead the development, optimization, troubleshooting, and execution of cell-based assays for small molecule discovery programs.
• Design assay strategies to profile compounds and characterize potency and selectivity.
• Validate assays, maintain quality control, document experiments in LIMS, and ensure high-quality data generation.
• Analyze complex datasets across experimental platforms and communicate findings and strategic recommendations to project teams and leadership.
• Improve assay technologies, workflows, automation, and data quality while solving technical challenges.
• Collaborate with biology, chemistry, automation, engineering, and computational teams; mentor scientists and research associates.

Requirements

• Postdoctoral fellowship plus 4 years, Ph.D. plus 7 years, Master's plus 16 years, or Bachelor's plus 18 years of relevant experience.
• Industry experience independently developing and leading complex cell-based assay strategies for small molecule drug discovery.
• Hands-on experience with assay development, compound profiling, dose-response analysis, Structure–Activity Relationship campaigns, and High-Throughput Screening campaigns.
• Expertise in mammalian cell culture, transient transfection, stable cell line generation, gene perturbation, and diverse cellular assay platforms.
• Experience with high-throughput screening technologies, laboratory automation, compound screening databases, and LIMS systems.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, collaboration, and scientific problem-solving skills, including proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Spotfire, Excel, or comparable software.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring junior scientists or research associates.
