Sr. Research Associate, Analytical Technical Operations (Biotech)

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; site-based full-time and not eligible for remote work. Due to export control requirements, only U.S. persons are eligible, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $74,000–$118,400 per year, plus potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do

• Execute cell-based ELISA and related bioassays to support development, characterization, release, and stability programs.
• Culture mammalian cell lines, prepare assay plates, perform transfections, serial dilutions, reagent preparation, and sample handling.
• Operate plate readers, plate washers, incubators, biosafety cabinets, and associated laboratory equipment.
• Review and analyze experimental data using established tools and curve-fitting methodologies.
• Troubleshoot assay issues, support investigations, and improve assay robustness, efficiency, data quality, and scalability.
• Support method transfers and implement automated workflows and digital analytical capabilities, including opportunities involving generative AI.

Requirements

• MS or bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with cell culture and/or bioassays, including mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Basic understanding of ELISA or immunoassays; experience with cell-based ELISA, IVRPE, potency, or other plate-based assays is preferred.
• Ability to perform multi-day assay workflows, multichannel pipetting, routine data analysis, and method troubleshooting.
• Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Must work full-time at the hirify.global site in Norwood and qualify as a U.S. person for export-controlled information access.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree with 2–3 years of experience or bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with assay transfer, workflow improvement, automation, electronic laboratory documentation, or plate-reader software.
• Experience training or mentoring junior staff.
