Medical Assistant - Oak Lawn, IL (24 hours/week with PTO and Benefits)

Location: Oak Lawn, Illinois, United States; onsite

Pay range: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review and update patient health information and record accurate data in medical records.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures under provider direction.
• Handle front-desk responsibilities including scheduling, check-in, check-out, medical record requests, referrals, and specialist coordination.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients as directed by the provider.
• Conduct patient outreach and collaborate with the care team to identify and address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration; certification or registration is required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
