Lead, Technical Compliance (AI)

Location: New York, New York; Miami, Florida; or remote within the USA. The role follows a hybrid approach at hub offices, while employees outside hub locations may work remotely. In-person onboarding at a hirify.global office is required, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Base salary: $140,000–$200,000 annually in New York, excluding discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of AI-enabled automation and agentic AI workflows across the Compliance Program.
• Evaluate AI models and emerging technologies for business value, risk, explainability, and implementation complexity.
• Develop and maintain transaction monitoring systems, including data ingestion, scenario development, and scenario optimization.
• Support customer risk scoring models and enhance sanctions controls, screening tools, procedures, and thresholds.
• Build scalable real-time data and reporting solutions using Python or SQL.
• Partner with Compliance, Engineering, Product, Data, Legal, Information Security, vendors, and auditors to deliver governed technology solutions.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or international equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in compliance technology and data analysis within financial services, digital assets, or management consulting.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills.
• Experience designing or implementing AI-enabled automation, agentic workflows, AI models, or advanced technology solutions.
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical requirements, solution designs, and measurable acceptance criteria.
• US work authorization and fluent English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks and PySpark.
• Knowledge of AML/BSA/Sanctions regulations and regulatory expectations.
• Exposure to blockchain tracing or analytics tools.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, large language models, prompt and context design, workflow orchestration, or AI-model evaluation.
• Familiarity with responsible AI, AI governance, explainability, privacy, security, auditability, and model-performance monitoring.
