Lawyer (AI)

Location: US - Remote

Base salary: $210K–$235K annually; annual target bonus: $15K–$40K; meaningful equity grant.

What you will do

• Draft, negotiate, and close revenue-critical commercial agreements, including complex and non-standard deals.
• Develop templates, playbooks, risk frameworks, approval workflows, and AI-enabled legal tools.
• Support corporate governance, board matters, entity maintenance, fundraising, M&A, and strategic transactions.
• Advise on data privacy and security, export controls, emerging AI regulation, employment, intellectual property, and vendor matters.
• Partner with sales, finance, product, and operations to enable business growth while managing legal risk.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of legal experience, including training at a top-tier law firm.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience with commercial contracts and corporate matters, preferably in a startup or technology-company environment.
• Strong judgment, business orientation, communication skills, adaptability, and appetite for feedback.
• Curiosity about AI and modern legal tools; technical proficiency is not required.
• Interest in developing a broad, generalist in-house legal practice.

Nice to have

• Exposure to infrastructure, cloud, or marketplace business models.
• Experience in early-stage or hypergrowth companies with high deal velocity.
• Experience with SLA-driven or other non-standard commercial agreements.
• Hands-on experience with AI or legal-tech tools.
