Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor & Director of Clinical Education (Physician Assistant Medicine)

Location: Main campus in Stephenville, Texas; Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM or according to teaching and work requirements. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Teaching may also be assigned at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Coordinate and maintain the clinical education curriculum for the Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant Medicine program.
• Develop and deliver classroom and clinical skills instruction in basic medical and clinical sciences.
• Develop, maintain, and review clinical sites and affiliation agreements with the Medical Director.
• Orient clinical preceptors on competency-based medical education, instruction, and assessment.
• Develop and implement clerkship assignments, assessments, and end-of-clerkship activities.
• Evaluate learners and preceptors through clinical site visits and support programmatic assessment and accreditation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program and current NCCPA certification.
• Unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant license, or eligibility for licensure in Texas.
• At least three years of clinical practice experience.
• Knowledge of the discipline sufficient for graduate-level instruction, along with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.

Nice to have

• Clinical precepting or teaching experience in an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Professional or practice doctorate, such as M.D., D.O., Pharm.D., or DMSc, or a related research doctorate.
• Experience with grant development for rural service-learning initiatives.
