Sterile Processing Technician III - Evenings

What you will do

• Design, deliver, and assess learning activities covering clinical competencies, policies, regulatory requirements, and instrument-tracking technologies.
• Assess staff learning needs and competencies with the CPD Manager and Supervisor.
• Orient, educate, and develop new Central Processing Department technicians.
• Act as a Lead Technician during daily departmental operations as needed.
• Coordinate departmental in-services with instrument vendors and maintain employee certification and professional-development records.
• Work across all areas of the Central Processing Department while maintaining sterile equipment, assembling instruments, managing inventory, and ordering supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CRCST or CBSPD certification.
• At least two years of central processing experience.
• Knowledge of general and specialty instrumentation, hospital procedures, infection control, and medical terminology.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and instrument-tracking systems.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for communication and customer-service duties.
