What you will do

• Monitor freezers, refrigerators, and room temperatures, and respond to freezer alarms according to standard operating procedures.
• Receive, unpack, document, preserve, and store biological samples at the appropriate temperatures.
• Inventory frozen specimens by checking vial information, scanning samples into BSI, correcting documentation, and reporting discrepancies.
• Aliquot frozen specimens using aseptic technique and assist with the inventory of returned samples.
• Retrieve samples according to requisitions and procedures, complete quality control checks, and update outgoing batch records.
• Prepare and ship dangerous and non-dangerous goods, including required forms, labels, dry shipper checks, and courier coordination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of general work experience.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, teamwork, and flexibility when priorities change.
• Basic familiarity with Excel.
• Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension required.
• Ability to lift and carry 31–50 lbs., lift up to 50 lbs. overhead with assistance, and work in freezer temperatures ranging from -20°C to -196°C.

Nice to have

• One year of relevant laboratory experience.
