Senior Engineer Remote Connectivity and IoT

What you will do

• Design and improve secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity solutions for field-connected products and cloud platforms.
• Work with connectivity architecture, remote access, integrations, performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Define technical principles and future approaches for connected product solutions.
• Investigate existing implementations and identify ways to strengthen them over time.
• Provide architecture input and technical direction to the manager, Product Owner, backend developers, and the wider team.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Senior-level experience with IoT connectivity, remote access solutions, and connected product architecture.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable connectivity solutions for products sending field data to backend or cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of networking and protocols including MQTT, TCP/IP, VPN, cellular connectivity, and ideally 5G.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and a good understanding of cybersecurity for connected devices and systems.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Backend development experience, such as Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in critical infrastructure or industries with high security and uptime requirements.
• Background in water, pump stations, drinking water, energy, healthcare, automotive, or industrial equipment.
