What you will do

• Design and develop device onboarding and provisioning flows across edge firmware and cloud services.
• Build secure MQTT-based communication between connected devices and the cloud.
• Develop and maintain device lifecycle capabilities including authentication, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Work in an autonomous agile squad of 4–5 engineers and collaborate across Axis.
• Build services used to manage large-scale device fleets across global surveillance systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent background.
• Professional software development experience with C# and Go.
• Experience with AWS cloud development and Kubernetes.
• Experience with embedded or edge systems, or IoT device fleets at scale.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and device communication, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/mTLS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Agile mindset and understanding of DevOps practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with device provisioning or bootstrapping protocols.
• Knowledge of PKI and certificate-based trust.
• Exposure to IoT connectivity standards such as MQTT.
