Paramedic

Location: Onsite at a Health Center in Maryville, Tennessee, United States. Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., 32 hours per week.

What you will do

• Assess the nature and severity of illnesses and injuries and prioritize medical procedures or additional assistance.
• Provide initial emergency treatment, record vital signs, administer medications, and initiate intravenous fluids.
• Communicate with physicians and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephone.
• Stay current with treatment techniques, protocols, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare reports, maintain accurate patient health records, and document activities.
• Clean and inspect the emergency vehicle and restock medical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent qualification from an accredited Paramedic training program.
• Current Paramedic Certification valid in the state where the work is performed.
• Current ACLS certification.
• New York paramedics must hold applicable REMSCO, REMAC, and REMO certifications based on the city and county.
