Assoc Tech Supp Analyst (IT Infrastructure)

Location: Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia, United States; onsite work with travel to other WVUHS facilities and affiliated sites.

What you will do

• Provide first-level and basic second-level support for networks, servers, security appliances, PCs, databases, telecommunications, and healthcare applications.
• Install and rack network and security appliances, run and terminate data cabling, maintain rack documentation, and monitor UPS and backup power systems.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, server infrastructure, application delivery, user access, video conferencing, and mobile devices with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers.
• Support infrastructure platforms including Nutanix, Hyper-V, VMware, physical servers, databases, PDUs, KVMs, security locks, and security cameras.
• Document incidents, changes, vulnerabilities, project risks, inventory, and network information using ticketing and enterprise applications such as ServiceNow and Workday.
• Participate in vulnerability testing, disaster recovery, business continuity, change management, on-call support, implementations, training, and travel to remote sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or a high school diploma/equivalent plus two years of networking and server platform experience.
• Generalist knowledge of servers, networks, security, applications, PCs, Windows desktop operating systems, healthcare information systems, and EHR applications.
• Experience supporting end users and working across multiple teams with change management, incident management, problem management, and ticketing processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot networks, security appliances, servers, PCs, applications, and video conferencing systems independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to travel to other facilities, work on call, lift at least 50 pounds, and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Server+ certification.
• Knowledge of ITIL and healthcare work environments.
