What you will do

• Craft newscasts by stacking stories, writing and editing copy, planning in-studio moves, and ordering graphics.
• Lead control-room operations during live broadcasts, remote segments, continuous coverage, and breaking-news situations.
• Develop original story ideas, research show topics, and book guests for news programs.
• Use social media tools to enhance and promote news products and on-air talent.
• Maintain content and style standards while facilitating teamwork among staff members.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience producing news in a medium-to-large television market.
• Bilingual English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent, grammatically accurate Spanish skills in both written and oral communication are required.
• Strong knowledge of television production, news-gathering equipment, and computer systems.
• Knowledge of current events, especially local and regional figures and developments.
• Effective news-writing skills for all platforms.

Nice to have

• Additional experience producing shows, interviews, panel shows, or news magazines.
• More than the minimum required news-production experience.
