What you will do
- Produce daily newscasts for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Write, approve, and order news stories, teases, and other program content.
- Balance news and feature coverage to create compelling broadcasts.
- Time news programs and edit video for broadcast and online publication.
- Write stories for the website and other eMedia platforms.
- Interact with viewers and users through social media.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Fluency in English required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- At least two years of experience in news operations, depending on market size.
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks, and work any shift.
