Cardiac Sonographer - Per Diem

Location: Tufts Medical Center; in-person patient care required

Pay range: $44.17–$56.32 per hour

What you will do

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures independently according to departmental policies and radiological standards.
• Verify patients, procedures, imaging protocols, scanner parameters, and examination accuracy.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and coordinate care with staff and other departments.
• Maintain patient and staff safety, equipment quality control, supplies, and clean functional work areas.
• Participate in ongoing education and training and may teach students or support new technologists.

Requirements

• Associate degree in radiology or a related field.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification from CCI.
• Two years of experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of radiologic equipment, examinations, procedures, and radiation safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, organize priorities, and provide good customer service.
