Imaging Technologist - Ultrasound - Per Diem

Salary: $48.82–$74.00 per hour; actual wage depends on applicable experience. The position may qualify for an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.

What you will do

• Review ultrasound orders for appropriateness and verify physician orders.
• Perform ultrasound procedures safely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Provide professional, compassionate care and comfort to patients.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and reports for radiologist interpretation.
• Contribute ideas to continuously improve imaging procedures and operations.
• Maintain professional expertise and pursue ongoing growth and development.

Requirements

• Completion of an ARDMS-approved education program with clinical ultrasound experience.
• ARDMS registry certification in at least one area, or registry eligibility with active pursuit of certification in one or more specialties such as OB/GYN or abdominal ultrasound.
• If not registered at hire, obtain registry certification within 6 months of the hire date.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, positioning, pathology, trauma, and patient interaction.

Nice to have

• At least one year of ultrasound experience.
• ARDMS Breast or Vascular endorsement.
