Sonographer Tech I - Ultrasound - Per Diem

Location: Manchester, NH, United States. As-needed per diem shifts with in-person patient care and ultrasound procedures.

What you will do

• Perform ultrasound procedures according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission standards and ARDMS ethical guidelines.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Perform general abdominal, small-parts, OB/GYN, musculoskeletal, pediatric, neurological, breast, vascular, and liver elastography examinations.
• Support invasive procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, thyroid FNA, and renal and liver biopsies, as well as operating-room cases.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, licensed practitioners, and support staff while applying independent professional judgment and critical thinking.
• Follow departmental examination protocols and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited CAAHEP sonography program recognized by ARDMS.
• Compliance with the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy before hire is required.
• ARDMS registration is preferred; registry-eligible candidates must obtain registration within 12 months of accepted employment.
• Vascular registration is required within 18 months of accepted employment.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification during employment.
• Previous diagnostic medical sonographer experience and familiarity with neurosonology, vascular, abdominal, obstetrical, and gynecological scanning are preferred.
