Valve Assembler (Fire Protection)

Location: Liberty, South Carolina, United States; onsite

Salary: $18.00 per hour, with shift differentials of $1.50 for second shift and $2.50 for third shift.

What you will do

• Analyze work orders, blueprints, shop data, and descriptions to identify required valve assembly materials.
• Collect and match parts, files, and serial numbers, then assemble valve components.
• Perform visual inspections and test new product parts for the Engineering Department when needed.
• Operate machinery, perform minor repairs, and rework valves rejected during pressure testing.
• Test returned products and isolate issues for the Product Development Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support the company’s 5S program.

Requirements

• Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints, work orders, and assembly descriptions.
• Working knowledge of gauges, valves, hand tools, large-scale machines, computers, and standard safety practices.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and documentation skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity; ability to stand for approximately 90% of the workday and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
• Ability to wear required PPE, work near moving mechanical parts, and occasionally lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
