Fire Protection Service Tech I-IFR

Location: Borger, Texas, 79007, United States. Service work is performed indoors, outdoors, and in the field, including potentially hazardous plant environments and occasional offshore work.

What you will do

• Conduct scheduled service calls and identify discrepancies in customer equipment.
• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire extinguishers, fire hose, gas detection monitors, respiratory equipment, fall protection equipment, and safety shower or eyewash units.
• Prepare accurate Technician Worksheets, testing records, repair documentation, and customer copies required for invoicing and compliance.
• Apply applicable state, OSHA, NFPA, and hirify.global standard operating procedures while maintaining safe work practices.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, truck unloading, merchandise checks, and order fulfillment when needed.
• Safely maintain company vehicles, tools, test equipment, inventory, laptops, scanners, radios, phones, and other assigned assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one manufacturer or state certification and one year of related experience.
• Relevant experience inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing safety equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand tools, and the ability to complete repairs accurately and on time.
• Current motor vehicle license with a good driving record; a commercial driver’s license is required when carrying hazardous-material loads.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for operational, process, and quality instructions.
