Senior Commercial Officer (Aerospace & Defence)

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, UK; flexible hybrid home/office working may be available within core working hours. Must be able to work in the UK without restrictions and successfully complete the required level of UK National Security Vetting.

What you will do

• Manage customer contracts and contractual customer relationships on a day-to-day basis.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate framework agreements, development contracts, MoUs, NDAs/PIAs, agency agreements, software licences, PDS contracts, and teaming agreements.
• Provide commercial and contractual input to bid teams and support profitable new-business wins.
• Identify commercial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support contract-change and scope-creep management.
• Advise Customer Services, Customer Support, Project, Operations, Procurement, and other business teams on contractual matters.
• Manage supplier flow-down terms, contract databases, payment and price-adjustment calculations, trade-compliance liaison, commercial governance, and government contracting audits.

Requirements

• Degree in Business or a related subject.
• At least 3 years of commercial experience in aerospace, defence, or a related technology industry.
• Experience covering most of the listed contract-management, negotiation, risk, governance, and bid-support responsibilities.
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK under UK National Law.
• Willingness and ability to complete appropriate UK National Security Vetting.

• Postgraduate commercial certification, such as WCC.
