Sr. AI Engineer

Location: Boston and Hingham, Massachusetts; candidates must be local to the Boston office for the Flex Persona.

Salary: $151,200–$184,800 per year, plus variable pay.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI engineering teams.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex AI agent components, Generative AI integrations, and supporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements, estimate work, and deliver AI features on time and to a high quality standard.
• Establish code review practices that ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
• Resolve complex technical issues and act as the team’s primary technical escalation point.
• Evaluate new tools, libraries, and frameworks while developing engineering talent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field; a high school degree or equivalent is the minimum requirement unless otherwise noted.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• 1+ year of experience developing agentic solutions, with knowledge of cloud services and MLOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing AI agents using Retrieval Augmented Generation architectures and fine-tuning techniques.
• Experience managing the performance, scalability, and reliability of AI models in production.
• Strong communication, code review, knowledge-sharing, and technology decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Linux/Unix scripting experience.
• Experience with multiple cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Solution Architect Associate certification, preferably in GCP or AWS.
