Surgical Technologist -Full Time- Night Shift (Sign on Bonus Eligible)

Location: Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA, United States. Full-time night shift, 40 hours per week, with weekend and on-call rotations.

Pay range: $32.00–$39.90 per hour. Sign-on bonus may be available to eligible candidates.

What you will do

• Support surgeons throughout a wide range of surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Prepare and organize instruments, supplies, equipment, and operating rooms for surgical cases.
• Maintain aseptic technique during setup, patient draping, and procedures.
• Perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse and manage specimens and intraoperative medications according to hospital policy.
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, equipment use, decontamination, and room turnover.
• Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, onboarding, and emergency preparedness activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program, qualifying military surgical technology training, or qualifying prior surgical technologist employment.
• Less than 12 months of healthcare experience; new graduates are welcome.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• New graduates must obtain the required credential within 12 months of graduation.
• Ability to work in restricted operating-room areas, stand for prolonged periods, lift and position patients and equipment, and work around blood, chemicals, radiation, lasers, and other perioperative hazards.
