Design Engineer (Generators)

What you will do

• Provide engineering design support for generator-related projects using CAD best practices.
• Analyze project requests, estimate scope and timelines, and assist with planning larger projects.
• Independently manage small projects and contribute to complex projects under supervision.
• Coordinate with business units, managers, team members, and third-party service providers to deliver projects on time and to quality requirements.
• Resolve technical and non-technical issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and suggest design improvements and cost reductions.
• Maintain project status, time logs, documentation, databases, and established design processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience, or a diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Work experience or knowledge with Creo CAD tools and product-design software.
• Ability to work with PLM and data-management systems, preferably Windchill.
• Ability to work with ERP systems, preferably SAP, under manager guidance.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes; sheet-metal knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and assist or guide junior associates and trainees with documentation.
