Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

Location: Bangalore, India; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Participate in project kickoffs and take ownership of modified and customized orders.
• Create and verify technical drawings, bills of materials, approval and execution documentation, and assembly instructions.
• Align designs with plant capabilities and design-for-manufacturing requirements.
• Review designs for quality and verify customer requirements before release to manufacturing.
• Coordinate engineering order activities and communicate with sales, production, project leaders, and external collaborators.
• Create items and manage long-lead-time items in SAP while supporting customized-order cost estimation.

Requirements

• Technical university degree in mechanics, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Good knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• English at least at a medium level and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, select suitable processes, estimate costs, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, analytical skills, and problem-solving orientation.
• Effective communication with production, sales, back-office teams, and project leaders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of parametric CAD software such as CATIA, Ihirify.globalor, ProE, or Solid Edge.
• ERP system knowledge.
