GIS Specialist

What you will do

• Maintain and update facility records, maps, sketches, and working designs in GIS and CAD software.
• Update computerized drawings and databases to reflect changes to land bases and pipeline facilities.
• Prepare maps, graphics, charts, and other visual aids for technical communication.
• Maintain libraries of maps and related databases from multiple sources.
• Organize detailed records and files using various computer applications.
• Support GIS application development, quality control, training, and technical services projects.

Requirements

• Associate degree in GIS, computer drafting, or a related field.
• Two years of related experience or equivalent qualifications.
• Knowledge of computer drafting and software applications for creating complex documents, reports, graphics, and facility maps.
• Ability to communicate technical and complex information to internal and external customers.
• Ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, geometric, statistical, or accounting calculations.
• Work is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor field site visits.
