TL;DR
Senior ADA Specialist (Healthcare): Managing workplace accommodation requests and leave-of-absence programs with an accent on ADA compliance, interactive-process management, and collaboration with employees, managers, healthcare providers, Legal, and HR. Focus on evaluating reasonable accommodations, conducting undue-hardship analyses and compliance audits, tracking case trends, and improving related policies and workflows.

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to hirify.global locations in Massachusetts as needed

Pay range: $84,300.22–$107,481.20 annually

hirify.global is an academic and community-based health system affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine, providing connected medical and behavioral health services through hospitals and care organizations.

What you will do

  • Manage workplace accommodation requests under the ADA from intake through resolution.
  • Lead the interactive process, evaluate reasonable accommodations, conduct undue-hardship analyses, and identify alternatives when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with employees, managers, healthcare providers, Occupational Health, Employee/Labor Relations, Legal, HR, and Safety.
  • Track and document accommodation and leave cases, maintain case-management systems, and report on trends and workflows.
  • Train managers and HR partners on ADA compliance, the interactive process, and best practices.
  • Conduct environmental and policy audits and recommend updates that improve compliance and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and three years of relevant experience, including at least two years of ADA experience.
  • Alternatively, an associate’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma and seven years of relevant experience, with at least two years of ADA experience.
  • Working knowledge of ADA, ADAAA, HIPAA, GINA, FMLA, Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave, and other applicable regulations.
  • Specialized knowledge of ADA compliance and the interactive process, strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and case-management systems, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, exercise discretion, and resolve complex problems.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Workday.
  • Experience with UKG Timekeeping.
  • Experience with ADA request-management platforms such as Pulpstream or AbsenceSoft.
  • Experience with Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave.
