Reaction Wheel Control Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop control algorithms and embedded control software for in-house reaction wheels.
• Contribute to reaction wheel system design and select and implement component-level control strategies and state machines.
• Create plant models for simulation and tune parameters to meet control performance targets.
• Implement software through MATLAB autocode generation or embedded C programming.
• Own the FDIR process, test control software, and evaluate control robustness.
• Develop algorithms for other spacecraft components, including star trackers and magnetorquers, in collaboration with AOCS and Flight Software engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of control systems, mechanical dynamics, and field-oriented control.
• Hands-on experience with reaction wheels, electric motors, or similar actuators.
• Proven expertise in AOCS development.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink simulation tools and MATLAB code generation or embedded C.
