Service Technician - Sr Service Technician (Natural Gas)

Location: Danville, Kentucky, United States. Onsite field work requires entry to customer premises, outdoor work in all weather conditions, emergency call-outs, and possible residence near the service area for response time.

What you will do

• Perform prescribed service work, including customer connections and disconnections after becoming operator qualified.
• Respond to customer service requests, explain required repairs, and confirm customer satisfaction.
• Install, program, operate, and maintain Wireless Meter Reading equipment; read meters and record usage when needed.
• Support natural gas and other emergency response activities, including standby duty, shifts, holidays, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
• Complete accurate records and reports for company and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect and safely operate assigned vehicles and equipment while identifying and resolving safety or encroachment issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license meeting company standards.
• Complete and maintain required Operator Qualifications, on-the-job training, classroom training, and certifications.
• Use company internet and intranet resources for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
• Communicate factual information clearly with internal and external customers.
• Pass required pre- and post-employment drug testing, DOT/PHMSA screenings, and motor vehicle record checks.
