OnSite Environmental Technician II

Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, with the position based in Santa Rosa, California

Pay range: $25.45–$34.97 per hour, depending on the hiring locality.

What you will do

• Collect waste throughout customer facilities and perform administrative duties at client sites.
• Identify, package, label, bulk, and consolidate hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Participate in spill response activities at customer locations.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Complete waste-stream sampling and profiling.
• Operate forklifts or sweepers and safely load and unload waste-hauling vehicles.

Requirements

• Two or more years of related experience.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to use heavy and light equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Skill with hand tools, shop tools, and instruments, with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions.
