Aviation Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Farmingdale, New York; onsite. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays according to a 24/7/365 flight schedule.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspections, engine runs, and taxi operations on company aircraft under technical supervision.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with manufacturer standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Maintain spare parts inventory, including ordering, shipping, and receiving.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of ground support equipment, hangar, and facilities, including snow removal.
• Participate in the Aviation Department’s Safety Management System and improvement projects.

Requirements

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings required.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CAMP/CMP, Flightdocs, or other web-based maintenance systems.
• Ability to work onsite with flexible nights, weekends, and holiday availability.

Nice to have

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Inspection Authorization.
• 1–3 years of Fortune-level aviation maintenance and avionics experience.
• Satcom Direct aeroIT certification.
• Airmen Certificate.
