Olfactive Scientist (Beauty Fragrances)

Location: Mason, Ohio, United States; at least four days per week in the Mason office. Domestic and potentially international travel may be required for less than 10% of working time. Working hours are between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with a flexible start time between 7 and 9 a.m.

Salary: $85,000–$122,200 per year, plus bonus where applicable and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Beauty R&D teams to identify opportunities for perfume integration and translate fragrance trends into brand innovation.
• Guide the design and evaluation of new fragrances with P&G and external perfume house perfumers.
• Lead fragrance projects end to end, from design and screening through execution and launch support.
• Design fragrance screening methods and consumer research techniques for evaluating delightful perfume experiences.
• Provide technical support for perfume and product-chassis integration and ensure technical readiness for manufacturing and launch timing.
• Collaborate with category R&D teams, Product Supply, Manufacturing, internal experts, and external perfume resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
• Olfactive training and proven experience in the Flavors & Fragrances industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, eagerness to learn, and demonstrated problem-solving, agility, and innovation.
• Ability to work at least four days per week from the Mason, Ohio office.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Beauty fragrance industry.
• Degree or certification in Olfactory Sciences, Perfumery, or Fragrance Evaluation.
