Application Laboratory Manager (Fragrance)

Location: New York, NY, USA; on-site five days a week

Salary: $86,394–$123,420 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily operations of the Innovation Creation & Design Operations Laboratory and deliver high-quality samples and evaluations on time.
• Plan resources, balance workloads, manage capacity, and monitor performance indicators.
• Ensure laboratory safety, environmental compliance, waste management, and regulatory adherence.
• Lead, coach, onboard, train, and develop laboratory team members.
• Establish standardized operating procedures and oversee equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
• Manage laboratory improvement projects and collaborate with Perfumers, Sales, Consumer Insights, Quality Control, Science, Technology & Innovation teams, and global laboratory peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent education and experience.
• At least five years of relevant laboratory experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience managing laboratory operations with a strong focus on quality and service delivery.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Strong people leadership, organizational, project management, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Experience using data, metrics, and performance indicators for decision-making.

• Experience managing a fragrance laboratory.
