Senior Fullstack Developer (React/TypeScript)

Location: Remote in the United States; must be a US Citizen eligible for a DoD Secret clearance. Residence or willingness to relocate to the Washington, DC area and work hybrid onsite is optional.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain web-based applications and systems in small, feature-focused teams.
• Build React frontend applications and Express.js backend services using modern development practices.
• Design and integrate GraphQL and REST APIs, database queries, migrations, mutations, resolvers, and external API connections.
• Collaborate with data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, product designers, ISSOs, and government stakeholders in an Agile process.
• Review code, mentor junior and mid-level developers, and communicate complex interfaces, workflows, and data clearly.
• Contribute to secure, high-volume analytical production environments and AWS deployments.

Requirements

• US citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance are required.
• Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Senior-level proficiency with React, functional components, hooks, state management, lifecycles, CSS-in-JS, and component-driven development.
• Senior-level proficiency with Express.js, GraphQL, REST, and at least one ORM such as Drizzle, TypeORM, Knex, or Sequelize.
• Senior-level TypeScript experience, including utility types, library type inspection, interface design, and compile-time versus runtime typing.
• Strong programming, problem-solving, communication, Git, GitFlow, code review, testing, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Active Secret clearance.
• Agile and Scrum experience.
• Real-time geospatial data visualization and streaming experience with technologies such as Mapbox, WebGL, D3, Visx, Charts, Protocol Buffers, GraphQL Subscriptions, SSE, or WebSockets.
• PostgreSQL and PostGIS expertise, including geospatial and temporal queries, optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
• Spectrum or RF engineering, physics, product design collaboration, data science collaboration, or AWS Cloud Developer-level experience with CI/CD, containers, networking, and managed services.
