Temp Senior Research Associate/Sr Scientist (RNA Delivery)

Hourly pay: $42.34–$75.49 per hour

What you will do

• Synthesize and document research-scale RNA-loaded lipid nanoparticles using microfluidic mixing and bench-scale purification methods.
• Perform particle characterization using Ribogreen, DLS, zeta potential, and pKa determination.
• Analyze lipids and RNA using HPLC where applicable.
• Support routine rodent dosing procedures and safety or activity assessments, as well as cell-culture testing.
• Document experiments in electronic lab notebooks, analyze data, and maintain laboratory organization and supplies.

Requirements

• BS in life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, or a related discipline, plus at least 5 years of relevant academic or industry laboratory experience for the Senior Research Associate level.
• PhD in life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, or a related discipline, plus at least 2 years of relevant academic or industry laboratory experience for the Senior Scientist level.
• Prior expertise synthesizing multiple bench-scale RNA-containing lipid nanoparticle batches using microfluidic mixing and bench-scale purification.
• Prior experience with nanoparticle characterization using Ribogreen, DLS, zeta potential, and related methods.
• Ability to learn and perform routine rodent procedures, including tail-vein injection and necropsy.
• Strong organization and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience analyzing lipids and RNA using HPLC.
