Reliability & Engineering Manager (Food Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead site-level reliability engineering, asset health monitoring, lifecycle management, and equipment performance improvement.
• Define and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Investigate recurring equipment failures using FMEA, root cause failure analysis, and other reliability engineering tools.
• Plan plant shutdown maintenance and oversee contract maintenance crews.
• Manage equipment criticality rankings, critical spare parts, the spare parts program, and storeroom strategy.
• Support capital planning and long-term reliability initiatives while ensuring food safety and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent progressive experience.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing and/or maintenance experience with a reliability engineering focus.
• Applied knowledge of reliability engineering principles, including FMEA, RCFA, PM/PdM, and asset lifecycle management.
• Leadership experience in maintenance planning, project management, or team supervision.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Ability to work onsite and engage directly on the manufacturing floor.

Nice to have

• Experience in food manufacturing or another regulated environment.
• Exposure to high-speed rotating or continuous process equipment.
• Six Sigma certification, Lean manufacturing experience, or formal continuous improvement training.
