Global Technology Manager (Fluoropolymers)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global Discovery Hub in Newark, Delaware, United States. Requires domestic and international travel of up to 25%.

Annual pay range: $141,120–$220,500, with a 16% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a global team of R&D scientists and application engineers.
• Set strategic priorities, resource plans, talent development goals, and technical excellence standards.
• Align technology resources with commercial strategy for new product and application development.
• Expand capabilities for product development, application prototyping, and industry-relevant performance testing.
• Oversee global laboratory operations, equipment investments, testing methodologies, and development processes.
• Collaborate with strategic customers, value chain partners, manufacturing, marketing, commercial, and business development teams to commercialize new materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in research and development, technology leadership, materials development, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of direct people management experience leading technical teams and developing talent.
• Experience leading global technology organizations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong background in polymer formulation, processing, characterization, and product development for advanced electronics and semiconductor applications.
• Must be able to work onsite in Newark, Delaware, United States and travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline.
• Expertise in fluoropolymer extrusion, molding, compounding, films, tubing, and wire and cable applications.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, advanced electronics, AI infrastructure, high-speed connectivity, and data center technologies.
• Experience developing materials for semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, energy, electronics, medical, and chemical processing applications.
• Success driving innovation, strategic customer engagement, and global R&D organizations across technology development and manufacturing.
