Senior Field Applications Engineer (PCB)

Location: Remote, California; candidates must reside in California. Travel to customer sites, TTM North American manufacturing sites, and TTM Asia Pacific sites may be required for 15–25% of working time.

Salary: $109,841–$193,168 per year, with an annual or quarterly company bonus potentially applicable.

What you will do

• Provide technical support to customer PCB designers and manufacturing groups throughout the design cycle.
• Advise on routing, layout, signal integrity, controlled impedance, PCB stack-up, material selection, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Educate customers on Design for Manufacture and Design for Value while improving design-package quality and reducing design-cycle time.
• Analyze customer designs, resolve DFM and TQ issues, and coordinate solutions with pre-production engineering and customer teams.
• Present TTM capabilities, technology roadmaps, and manufacturing solutions in partnership with sales.
• Communicate customer technology needs and capability gaps across sales, development, engineering, pre-production, and operations.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in PCB engineering and knowledge of the complete PCB manufacturing process, including process flows, tooling, and individual processing steps.
• At least 6 years of experience in engineering activities related to PCB manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with electrical design performance and signal integrity, including impedance and insertion loss.
• Intermediate drawing and blueprint interpretation skills, plus experience with PCB CAM software and PCB stack-up tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred.
• Strong customer communication, public speaking, presentation, decision-making, and remote-work skills.
